The introduction of the Kyphon Kyphoplasty
Kyphon Kyphoplasty is a minimally invasive treatment method. Its main role is to stabilize fractures, reduce back pain, restore vertebral body height and spinal correction,Kyphon Kyphoplasty is suitable for spinal fractures caused by osteoporosis, certain types of cancer or tumors.
As osteoporosis usually has no obvious symptoms when it develops, people may not know that they are suffering from the disease until after the occurrence of fracture. Multiple spinal fractures may lead to the shortening and front of the spine, resulting in bending or hunchback. The anterior curvature or kyphosis of the spine makes it difficult to walk, reach for objects or carry out daily activities. Chronic back pain, height reduction, loss of appetite and difficulty in sleeping are all related to kyphosis. As time goes by, Patients with multiple spinal fractures are becoming more and more serious, and the risk of fatal pulmonary complications is increasing.
Kyphon kyphoplasty's operation method is to open an incision about 1cm long on the patient's back, insert a hollow instrument through the incision to establish a narrow path to the fracture location, guide a small orthopaedic balloon hollow instrument into the vertebrae, and then carefully inflate the balloon to try to raise the broken vertebrae and restore it to its normal position.
Once the vertebrae are restored to the normal position, the balloon is deflated and removed. This procedure forms a cavity in the vertebrae, and then the cavity is filled with special cement to support the surrounding bones and prevent further fracture. The cement forms an internal plaster fixation to fix the vertebrae in the original position. This operation is usually performed on both sides of the vertebrae.
The Kyphon kyphoplasty of Changmei Medtech has become very mature, and we are specialized in the design, R & D and production of various minimally invasive medical devices.
